A single and consistent modeling architecture is required to allow the integration of geophysical, geological and engineering data into a single software solution. S2S Systems utilizes an Orthogonal XY truncated grid which is congruent with the seismic data and provides infinite flexibility for grid refinement and up-scaling.

As demonstrated by our application offerings, the S2S Systems database is capable of handling pre-stack seismic gather data through complete geo-cellular models and is the key to every integrated and potentially real-time software product. It is the only self-defining, object oriented transactional database in the industry and is a key component to any integrated and real-time application.

S2S Systems applications are workflow based. We deploy the software in pre-packaged workflows based around specific client needs. Due to our unique licensing scheme, our users have access to all our application capabilities so they are not constrained to our interpretation of their workflow needs. They can navigate between any workflows and effectively construct custom workflows spanning from prestack seismic to reservoir modeling.

When a new release is available for update, all licensed users will be informed and they can individually, or at a company level, decide when to upgrade. This automated deployment system eases the burden on internal IT personnel by placing the burden for release compatibility on S2S Systems.

S2S Systems has prototyped a novel data-centric collaboration capability that is not bandwidth limited like many on the market. While this capability is not ready for general release, S2S Systems is looking for development or service partners to participate in its commercialization. Data-centric collaboration involves the software being run on both ends and the transmission of data changes, instead of video changes. This may sound like a subtle difference, but if you consider the fact that it takes 10 screen refreshes per second to spin a 3D scene without flicker and jumps. To maintain this refresh rate with a video centric collaboration would require the transmission of up to 10 Mbytes per second while data centric would require only 270 bytes. Even with sophisticated video compression techniques, video centric collaboration will be require several orders of magnitude more bandwidth than data-centric.
